When the hot summer days of July lead into August that can only mean one thing; the 2019 NFL preseason games have arrived. Granted these preseason games are meaningless standing wise and are only used to evaluate the talent on a team, but it also means football is back. And with the 2019 NFL preseason underway that means the NFL regular season is just a few weeks away.
With the 2019 NFL preseason starting so does my second year working as an NFL photographer. Like how the teams use preseason to refine and work on somethings, I use the preseason games to do the same photography wise. Maybe I play around with shutter speeds and angles or I find new vantage points to shoot from.
The action in the 2019 NFL preseason games are few and far between. Most of the starters are either not playing or playing a couple of snaps. Most of the players playing are either the ones who will make the team as backups, join the practice squad or just get cut altogether. For the majority of these players, this is the most action they will see this season so they go out and enjoy every moment of it.
