Photographing the Hurricanes vs. Virginia game was a bit of a weird one. It was the first home game since Clemson crushed Miami and the first home game since they fire their head coach, Al Golden. I was so used to driving to the stadium to see planes carrying banners calling for the Al Golden to be fired that at this game the skies were eerily quiet. I guess even with all the weirdness the only thing that really mattered was that Miami Beats Virginia.
The game against Virginia was also Miami’s Military Appreciation game and they wore their all black uniforms for the first time. Those uniforms were pretty amazing. I was hoping for so sort of military fly by or even airmen parachuting into the stadium like year’s past for Military Appreciation, but alas the black uniforms were the only new and exciting thing this game.
While I did not stay for the whole game as I had a prior commitment, but there was plenty of action during the first half. The game was a back and forth battle. It felt weird leaving before the game was over and while I was hoping that Miami beats Virginia I was also selfishly hoping that there wasn’t much action as I would have been disappointed not to have been there to photograph it.
