The Miami Hurricanes vs. Toledo game came after a two week layoff for the Miami Hurricanes due to Hurricane Irma slamming into all of Florida. It was great to have some sort of return to normalcy with the game being played. For a few hours people didn’t have to worry about not having power or not having internet at home. For those few hours at Hard Rock Stadium, life seemed to be back to the way it was.
For me it was a much welcomed sight to walk on the field and photograph the game. Granted it was hot as hell, but I wouldn’t have any other way.
The game, for the first half at least, was a back and forth struggle between the teams. The second half was a completely different story as the Miami Hurricanes knocked off the rust. Towards the end of the game I just waited in the endzone for the Hurricanes to march down the field and score. The sun beating down on you all game long does take a toll on you.
This season I’ve also been shooting video with a GoPro attached to the hot shoe mount on my camera. I’m calling it “Behind the Lens” where you can see how I see the game and the action I capture. You can visit my YouTube page to see my latest videos. Here is a link to a mash up of the past two Miami Hurricanes games action.
