The Miami Dolphins vs. Tennessee Titans game at Hard Rock Stadium wasn’t the classic slobber knocker one would hope for at an NFL game. Instead it was a battle of the defenses as both offenses were downright offensive the whole game. To top off the lack of action on the field, the game time temperature on the field hovered around 115 degrees. Just another fall, October day at Hard Rock Stadium.
I don’t think I can remember the last time I was photographing a football game and it was as hot as it was. The sweat was sweating as well as everyone in the sun like cheerleaders and some of us photographers.
I wish I could say there was a lot of exciting plays etc., but to be honest this game between the Miami Dolphins vs. Tennessee Titans game lacked any excitement. For most of the game I hung around the line of scrimmage as both defenses were hitting the quarterback and making disruptive plays. The game felt like an eternity with all the penalties called and waiting in that sun wasn’t fun either.
What was pretty cool to witness was all the players exchanging jerseys after the game. All the players were asking for sharpies, but none of the photographers had any. All we had were our cameras pointing at the players as the swapped jerseys. It was interesting being around them as they talked etc. The NFL is really a brotherhood among the players.
