On Senior day when all the seniors on the team are celebrated, Miami struggled during the game but the Hurricanes beat Virginia 44-28 at Hard Rock Stadium. Senior day is a great day for all the seniors. It was also a great day for the Hurricanes as they remained unbeaten and on a path to the College playoffs.
For as many years as I’ve been covering the Miami Hurricanes, senior day is one of my favorite days. The pomp and pageantry. Each senior has their own moment to walk out through the smoke one last time and they’re greeted by their family. And after the game all the seniors take a photo with the head coach. It’s really something to see.
As for the game, it was rough to watch early on. On numerous occasions the Hurricanes were down 14 points, but each time found a way to crawl back to tie. Then out of no where the Hurricanes reeled offed 30 straight points which clinched the game for them as well as kept their unbeaten streak alive.
