I was lucky enough to shoot an engagement shoot for one of my favorite couples, Alex and Hayley. I always enjoy watching these two interact because they’re always happy, smiling or laughing. They compliment each other so well and they’re always on the same page. I was beyond excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding. You can’t help but admire the love these two have for each other.
Earlier in the day Hayley had some photos taken at Glamour Shots and later on that night was her bachelorette party so we had a small window to shoot in. We shot on South Beach and the weather was perfect. The only problem was that the beach was so packed, parking was basically non-existent. I drove around for like 20 minutes trying to find an empty garage etc. I rushed over to meet them on the wall across the street from Wet Willies so we could start. I had all these ideas I wanted to shoot but time wasn’t on our side. Hayley had to be ready to go for her bachelorette party for 7pm and we started shooting around 5:40pm. I’m not sure what the big deal is with a bachelorette party. Isn’t is just one big tea party where the ladies put makeup on each other, write love poems to their men and pierce each other’s ears? Or is that only in Grease?
With pressed time we quickly moved from spot to spot shooting. It was great that they were up for anything. I just wish we had more time but, I was thrilled with the outcome of the day. I got enough shots so they have some photos to use and we got Hayley out on time for her big soiree.
The entire shoot was them talking and laughing, oblivious to me shooting them. I just watched them and captured the moment. They’re like two teenagers kissing every chance they get. Always holding hands, always hugging. These two set the bar pretty high as far as how relationships should be. I wish them all the best!
